How to find your Pelonis Heater model number?
Pelonis manufactures a diverse array of portable heaters, which include ceramic, radiant, and fan heaters. Unlike the heating equipment you install in your house, these movable heaters are more of the plug and play variety. That means there aren't any rating plates or stickers attached to the heating equipment's interior or exterior to help you determine the product's model number.
However, the good news is we’ve included images of each heater above so it should be easy. Another painless method of determining your Pelonis heater's model number is to look at the product's packaging, if you still have it.
Pelonis Heater Instructions
As mentioned before, Pelonis manufactures ceramic, radiant, and fan heaters – which means you need the model number to land the right manual. The instructions contained within a heater manual may differ drastically depending on the heater type.
However, to make your life easier, we've gone through all three types of heater manuals and mapped out how each works below.
Pelonis user manuals are more like booklets and don't span more than 7 to 8 pages. You won't have too much trouble locating the right section even without a Table of Contents (ToC). Most Pelonis Heater Manuals have the following pattern:
- Safety Instructions: This section lists out all the information you should read through once before attempting to set up your heater. For instance, the manual states that you should keep combustible materials, such as pillows, bedding, papers, etc., at least 3 feet (0.9m) from the heater's front, sides, and rear.
- Operating Instructions: As the name suggests, the operating instructions include all the relevant details about control panel functions, electronic temperature control, temperature limit, placement of the unit, etc.
- Additional Features: lists out all the heater's supplementary features.
- Cleaning & Storage: contains directions on how you can safely clean and maintain your heater unit.
Pelonis Heater Troubleshooting
The troubleshooting section of Pelonis's heater manuals is super-concise and lists out a series of directions you can follow if your heater isn't operating. However, don't expect this section of the manual to go into details like errors, possible causes, and how you can attempt to fix the problem yourself.
In fact, all Pelonis heater manuals state if you experience a problem with your heater, you should, under no circumstances, try and open or repair the heater yourself. Doing so can not only cause damage (or a personal injury), but it may also void the warranty. Instead, users are encouraged to contact Pelonis's service and support team via the numbers listed in the manual or on the website.
Aside from that cautionary note, here are the instructions the troubleshooting section contains for failure to operate –
- Ensure that your circuit breaker or fuse is working properly.
- Be sure the heater is plugged in and that the electrical outlet is working properly.
- Check for any obstruction. If you find any obstruction, turn the heater “OFF”. Unplug the heater and wait a few minutes for it to cool down. Carefully remove the obstruction.
- Plug the heater in and turn it on again by referring to the OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Types of Pelonis Heaters
Pelonis's heater range includes ceramic, fan, and radiant heaters. Each type of heater has its own distinct advantages. Here's how these heaters work on a broad level.
Ceramic Heaters
Ceramic heaters utilize electricity to heat a series of aluminum fins that transfer the heat to the ceramic heating element. Next, the unit draws cool air from the base and pushes it over the metal and ceramic pieces – heating the air and spreading it across the room. Because convective ceramic heaters use a fan to blow heated air across the room, they can heat a room somewhat faster than their counterparts.
Fan Heaters
Fan Heaters operate by running a current through a resistive heating coil that helps in creating heat energy. Air is rapidly warmed when drawn over the resistive coil and then pushed out via the fan. Electric fan heaters generally feature a thermostat that allows you to control the heat temperature, along with separate controls for the fan. Pelonis fan heaters are multi-functional and can operate as regular fans during summers.
Radiant Heaters
Radiant Heaters employ infrared radiation to generate heat. Objects absorb the energy radiated by these heaters in their path, making them relatively efficient in maintaining warm temperatures. However, Pelonis also makes oil-filled radiant heaters use diathermic oil to heat the radiator fins via electricity. Not only are these types of heaters noise-free, but they're also power-efficient.
About Pelonis
Pelonis has been making home comfort products for well over 25 years. The company's product line up includes heaters, humidifiers, air conditioners, and fans. All Pelonis products come equipped with a 1-year warranty, and all their products meet the industry's safety standards.

I need a manual for my Safe-t-Furnace. I don’t understand what the controls are supposed to do.

I read the manual for our heater, model no.: HO-0280, and didn’t any find information regarding power outages.
My question is, if there is an unexpected power outage, will the heater resume its normal preset temperature?
