Lost the small metal detaching pin that came with your eufy Video Doorbell? You can still remove it from the mount — and in most cases you do not need the original tool at all.

Method 1: Use a Substitute Tool (Fastest)

Look at the bottom edge of the doorbell unit where it meets the mount. You will see a small circular hole approximately 1.5mm in diameter. Insert any thin stiff object — a straightened paperclip, SIM card ejector tool, or bobby pin — and push firmly until you feel a click. The doorbell will pop forward slightly. Slide it up and off the mount.

Method 2: Request a Free Replacement Pin from eufy

eufy customer support will send a replacement detaching pin at no cost. Contact them through the eufy Security app under Help then Submit Feedback, or visit eufylife.com/support. Have your order number ready. Replacement pins typically ship within a few business days.

Before Physical Removal: Remove from the App First

Open the eufy Security app, tap the doorbell, go to Settings, scroll down and tap Remove Device, then confirm. This prevents tamper alerts and ensures a clean re-setup.

For Wired Models: Cut Power First

Turn off the circuit breaker that powers your doorbell transformer before starting removal. This prevents electrical risk and avoids triggering your indoor chime repeatedly.
